Semiconductor & Space Sector Clusters

The Microelectronics Innovation Center (mi-cluster) is supported by the Hellenic Technology Clusters Initiative (Corallia). The Hellenic Technology Clusters Initiative (Corallia) is an endorsed activity under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Development, that targets the establishment and development of competitive technology clusters in knowledge-intensive and exports-oriented industrial segments.

The Hellenic Space Technologies and Applications Cluster (si-Cluster) is an emerging, industrially-led and user-driven innovation cluster in Greece, with a sizeable potential to compete worldwide in the challenging and fast-growing sector of space technologies and applications.Currently, the si-Cluster consists of 50 members -including both large businesses and SMEs- while it is expanding rapidly not only its industrial base but also its cooperation ties with all the innovation ecosystem actors, including academia, research institutes, European, regional and central governmental and other stakeholders involved in this demanding technological field.

Semiconductor & Space Sector Associations

The Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association (HSIA) was launched in 2005 as a non-profit association of high tech industries to represent the dynamic Greek sector of semiconductors, micro- & nano- electronics and embedded systems. HSIA brings together 50 industrial members and over 30 relevant universities and institutes in Greece and abroad. HSIA is a proud member of the European Semiconductor Industry Association (ESIA) and the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA).

The Hellenic Association of Space Industry (HASI) was founded on September 22nd 2008 following a joint endeavor on behalf of a significant part of the Hellenic Industry active in space technology and applications sector. After a number of successive invitations to new members, the Association currently includes twenty five (25) active members while it is expected that before the end of 2014 the total number of the industrial and institutional members will be at least twenty eight (28). Currently all H-ASI members are Hellenic High Tech companies, employing over one thousand (1000) employees, of which the vast majority constitutes highly educated personnel in space technology and its applications. H-ASI members currently represent the biggest part of Greece’s research and manufacturing person power in the space technology and applications sector.

The European Space Agency (ESA) is Europe’s gateway to space. Its mission is to shape the development of Europe’s space capability and ensure that investment in space continues to deliver benefits to the citizens of Europe and the world. ESA is an international organisation with 18 Member States. By coordinating the financial and intellectual resources of its members, it can undertake programmes and activities far beyond the scope of any single European country.

EDA Tools Alliances
